Common Questions About Our Services

How do I know which service I actually need?
Most properties have one underlying issue — water moving where it shouldn’t, ground sliding or settling, or a slope that needs to be held — and the right service follows from there. Retaining walls hold soil and create usable terraces on steep ground. Drainage systems redirect water before it reaches foundations. Excavation and site prep solve what’s happening below grade before anything gets built on top. When we visit the site, we tell you which work the problem calls for and which work it doesn’t.
What does a project cost?
Project cost depends on size, materials, site access, and what the ground requires below the surface. Residential retaining walls typically run from a few thousand dollars for short decorative work to $60,000+ for larger structural installations. Drainage systems and paver patios vary the same way. The site visit is free, and the estimate covers materials, labor, equipment, and timeline with no hidden line items.
Do you work on commercial properties?
Yes. We handle site prep, grading, retaining walls, and drainage for commercial sites, HOA common areas, and new construction. Project size ranges from small HOA repairs to large-scale excavation and wall installations.
How long does a typical project take?
Paver patios and small drainage projects typically take one to two weeks. Retaining walls run two to four weeks depending on height and length. Larger excavation and site prep projects are quoted individually based on scope.
What's the process from first call to finished work?
We start with a phone call or contact form to understand what’s happening on your property. Next is a free on-site visit to assess conditions and confirm scope. From there you get a fixed estimate covering materials, timeline, and equipment. Once it’s signed, we schedule the work, complete it with our own crew, and walk the finished site with you before final payment.
Do you handle permits and engineering when they're needed?
Yes. Walls over four feet typically require engineered plans, and certain excavation or drainage work requires permits depending on the municipality. We coordinate engineering and permitting as part of the project so you’re not chasing two contractors and a third-party engineer separately.
